Groups from all over Europe will come to Oudenaarde for the absolutely unique re-enactment on a grand scale of the battle of 1708. This will take place just outside town on the Meerspoort site in the weekend of 12 and 13 July 2008.

The troops pitch camp in town from 11 July 2008. English, Irish, Dutch, French and various other nationalities come to Oudenaarde to stage a unique spectacle evoking the battle from 300 years ago. Groups of civilians turn Oudenaarde into an 18th- century town. Imagine yourself in another world and come to Oudenaarde for a unique experience.
